It’s so huge it would be really easy to get lost in there, so we were really glad of our guide, who obviously knew it like the back of her hand and was able to give us really good advice, as well as lots of information on the museum and the art itself. We really want to say thanks to our guide Marina. We liked the 2-days tour provided by her very much. During this tour we’ve seen all the major sights of Petersburg, and we’ve got a lot of interesting information about them in terms of their artistic and historical value. But we’ve also understood that the city is not only buildings, bridges, parks… it’s not only something material. There are so many funny or sad stories, legends and superstitions connected with the city and its citizens. Some of them are well-known among Russian people and some of them are very local – but, taken together, they create the unique spirit of this beautiful Russian city.
